Computer Lab Expectations for Middle School
1. You should conduct yourself in a respectful manner while in the lab; profanity, verbal abuse, and all forms of dishonesty will not be tolerated.
2. No food or drinks are allowed in the computer lab.
3. The desktop picture, screensavers and other settings on your computer should be left alone.
4. Keep the lab clean. Put things back when you are finished with them, including keyboards, mouse, and chairs. Leave the computer as you would want to find it.
5. Print ONLY with permission and ALWAYS use print preview.
6. Only use the Internet as instructed.
7. Always use your computer class time wisely. Getting assignments/projects done on time will greatly impact your grade!
8. A student who does not complete their assignment or misses class is responsible for accomplishing the activity by the following class period. The student has the option to complete the assignment at home, during free lab time, or making an appointment with Mrs. Campbell.
9. When the bell is rung all students are expected to immediately stop working and listen for further directions.
10. Upon entering the class the students should follow these procedures:
a. Leave books outside the classroom
b. Go straight to their computer station
c. Start the Do-Now
11. To prepare for dismissal from class the students should follow these procedures:
a. Bell will ring when there is 5 minutes left of class
b. Save work
c. Exit all programs
d. Clean up your station
e. Stand by your computer and push in your chair
